Another meaningless name from developers. You're at a major intersection with bright lights shining down on the overpass, off a four lane road with a direct connection to campus, there's a railroad right there, and you've cleared all the trees and natural stuff that was there before to slap up dense apartments. Some "retreat", eh?

There is a line at the drive thru window every morning. I am surprised by how much demand there is for fresh donuts.

Just ate at Razzoo's in College Station. I had the skillet sampler with the shrimp Creole, ettoufee, red beans sausage, corn and a slice of toasted, It was terrible. The worse tasting I've ever had. Naturally Nawlins in College Station.

Here's a description of the flagship burger of Daily Ruckus, from a newspaper article and preserved here for posterity.[begin quote] THE RUCKUS BURGER Description: The Daily Ruckus' gargantuan dish weighs in at more than 3 pounds, and is stacked about a foot high. A wood skewer holds the ingredients in place. It is served with sweet potato waffle fries and "Ruckus sauce" on the side. What's in it: First up on the jalapeno-cheese bun is a 1-pound beef patty with melted American and cheddar cheese. And then? * Two bacon strips * A chicken-fried steak * A fried egg * A fried chicken strip * A fried jalapeno * Fried pickles * A stack of fried onions * A waffle, and then top of the bun [/end quote] It retails for $15.

  • The Lofts at Wolf Pen Creek, TLU2008 wrote 10 years ago:
There were four tenants--one never opened, then there was Tutta Pasta (an Italian restaurant with a small retail area), which closed by end of 2011, and it was later replaced by Arbano Café, which lasted about 2014-2015. There was Red Mango, which lasted a bit longer but closed in October 2013, then Honeybaked Ham & Café (2009-2011, approx.), which became Sabi Boutique. Sabi's lease expires next month as of this writing (writing July 24, 2015).
