This was the site of the College Station Conference Center, which was originally built in 1949 as a public school. The renovated Conference Center re-opened to the public in June 1982 (with a new front area and green triangular overhead). The renovated building had conference buildings and offices, with the Parks Department Annex located in an adjacent building (believed to be the old music room, before it closed). In July 2012 the Conference Center building was deemed a hazard and shut down, citing a sagging roof and floor problems (the 1949 section had original floors). It was demolished in the latter half of 2014.

I determined the 1998 opening by checking out phone books, backing them up against my memory, and other tricks. It is not an official opening.

I lived there in 1973. We had NO supervision after the first two weeks. We called ourselves "The Milner Roaches". The first panty raid in the history of Texas A&M started from Milner.
