The grassy area immediately SW of the running track / football field and immediately NW of the tennis courts is formerly the site of the A&M Consolidated high school football stadium. It hosted home football games until a new stadium was built at the NW corner of Welsh and FM 2818 in the late 1980's.

Their forzen custard is also very good. It is similar to ice cream, but smoother and more silky.

Renovated in 1999. The original school was very dingy and depressing...concrete floors lit by only the occasional florescent light. The renovation added a new library, a new cafeteria, new restrooms, new floor, ceilings, connected the main school to the detached kindergarten wing...it did everything.

The building directly across the street, which houses the gym and college auditorium, is in use as well.
  • A&M Consolidated High School, TLU2008 (guest) wrote 18 years ago:
This school was built in the mid '70s and renovated in the late '90s. It's not very visible in the photo, but the area where the library is now was an open-air courtyard.
